Amy Eller, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who has called the Flathead Valley home for over two decades. She spent many years working with teens and their families at a therapeutic boarding school, often blending therapy with daily life— on a walk, horseback ride, ski trail, or around the dinner table. After the birth of her daughter, Amy opened a private practice in Kalispell, where she discovered a true calling: supporting people as they navigate the tenderness of grief and the complexities of the end of life. She feels deeply honored to accompany others through these profoundly human experiences. As a Flathead Program Liaison, Amy facilitates grief support groups, community workshops, and assists with community outreach.

MY “WHy”:

If we love, we grieve. Yet despite this universal truth, our culture often avoids grief—hesitant to face it, speak of it, or acknowledge how deeply loss touches our lives. When my father died, my mother handed me a self-help book just two months later. I remember thinking: there must be a better way. That moment shaped my passion for destigmatizing and creating space for honest and compassionate conversations around grief. My work is devoted to supporting people not only as they navigate their own grief, but also as they encounter the ways in which it ripples through families and communities—where others may struggle to know how best to offer care.

re-charging & delight-finding:

My passions take me outdoors—backpacking, skiing, swimming in cold water, and listening to the wisdom of plants and animals—and also indoors, where I find joy in knitting, crocheting, reading, watercolor, or getting lost in a good Netflix series.
