Support Groups

Connecting with others who understand grief can provide validation, relief, community and helpful new perspectives.

TGRC offers a variety of support groups for adults, teens, and youth. For more information about upcoming programs & to register, please visit our Program Calendar:

Adult Grief Support Groups

Adult support groups center on honoring individual experiences and gathering with others who understand in a safe, supportive environment. Support Groups run year-round, alternating between Grief Matters and Suicide and Traumatic Loss.

  • Grief Matters Support Group is open to any adult likely to benefit who has experienced the death of a loved one or family member, regardless of cause of death. The group will hold space for individual stories and work with narrative, creative, and symbolic outlets.

  • Suicide and Traumatic Loss Support Group is for individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one or family member by suicide or another traumatic incident. This group will explore and hold space for the unique considerations experienced by suicide and traumatic loss survivors, including trauma and possible feelings of guilt and shame.

  • Other thematic support groups are offered depending on community interest. Please keep an eye on our calendar, newsletter, and social media & let us know if you would benefit from a particular topic.
