Grief Support Facilitator Training (8 hours): Many people identify feeling isolated amidst grief. Simultaneously, it can seem that our usual repertoire of coping skills falls short. Groups can offer a positive support network with opportunities to learn and practice constructive outlets for a range of emotions. This interactive workshop with Tina Barrett, EdD, LCPC, explores the benefits of group interventions for youth and adults who are grieving the death of a family member or other types of losses. We will outline models of grief and trauma care related to group work and discuss tools and ideas for coordinating and facilitating grief support groups and introduce an 8-week model for 1:1 peer support when group support is contraindicated. This training will include special considerations for grief after suicide. Considerations for coordination and implementation as well as common challenges in groups will be addressed.

Grief After Suicide and Traumatic Loss Adult Support Group - MISSOULA

January 20th - February 24th Tuesdays from 5:15 - 6:30pm (MDT)

Support Groups strive to create a safe, healing space to honor the complexity of our varied grief experiences and offer tips and tools for coping. This group is for adults (age 18 and above) who have had a family member or loved one die by suicide or traumatic circumstances. We will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:30pm (MDT) at TGRC Missoula January 20th - February 24th. We ask that those who register plan to attend all sessions.

Virtual Roundtable Series

Casual, drop in conversations and activities exploring themes of grief and healing for adults. This virtual program is offered year-round, excluding all major holidays.

Every 1st & 3rd Thursday: January 15th - December 17th 5:30-6:30pm MDT (Zoom) 

Every 1st Thursday:  Virtual Adult Grief Support - For adults grieving the death of a family member or loved one.

Every 3rd Thursday:  Virtual Grief After Suicide & Traumatic Loss - For adults grieving the death of a family member or loved one to suicide.

Join for any or all sessions! Register to receive the zoom link and a reminder email prior to each meeting. No cost to attend. Donations welcome.

A Camp to Remember Mini Camp - KALISPELL

Monday, February 2nd, 4pm - 7pm

Mini Camps are fun and supportive gatherings for youth in 1st-5th grade who are grieving the death of a family member or loved one. Children are invited to gather fun, reflection, and friendship as we explore grief, hope, and healing. Mini Camps include a variety of physical, symbolic, and creative outlets to foster coping amidst grief. Let’s make puppets and explore the “shadows” & “sunshine” in our life amidst grief
