Windsor is a former college scholarship athlete who traveled the world including serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia, teaching English in China, and volunteering at an orphanage in Ghana. Additionally, she traveled the US working as an ultralight tow plane pilot for several hang gliding companies.

Windsor then returned to graduate school and earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She is experienced in crisis stabilization, short term therapeutic interventions, life skills coaching, and group therapy with a variety of populations including aged-out foster youth, individuals and families in crisis, adults experiencing serious mental illness, and active duty military. Windsor took a hiatus from her career to be a full time caregiver for a family member, an experience that deepened her understanding of resiliency and healing after profound loss.

Windsor is a Strength-Based Solution Focused therapist with training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care with experience in activity based therapeutic modalities. She is licensed in both Montana and Virginia, and has been practicing since 2012.

MY “WHy”:

Working for TGRC allows me to blend my professional training as a social worker and my personal experience with grief and loss as a family caregiver.  I appreciate the healing quality nature has on our nervous system and enjoy sharing that with others.

re-charging & delight-finding:

I find strength and renewal spending time with family in the Rocky Mountains or on North Carolina beaches, time with my dogs, long walks with good friends, hiking, hot yoga, meditation, crosswords, and puzzles.
